Hi ..i am new here ,just bought a set of taylormade Tp 2oo5 with nippon steel regular and went to the range last night to hit some balls,Ball was going pretty high and thinking of bending the loft to 1 degree stronger hoping to bring trajetory down ..can some one help ..does it help to bring the trajetory down or what can i do?thanks in advance

to be honest i think you will find that it is not the lofts that are the prob, it is more than likely the shaft! nippon seel reg will give you unreal feel and great distance, however the downside is the ball just goes so high! if this is really bothering you i think you should change to either a heavier model of nippon shaft or a heavier and stiffer model! IMHO changing the loft wont make significant difference and you wiill prob just confuse your set up! :cool:

really depends on which model of nippon shaft you have in the tps at the min! the superlights will lower your trajectory however i would highly recommend trying a heavier nippon first! as IMO they are quality.....1150 in reg could be the ticket for u!

my tp comes with the original japan spec nippon 950 .thats the standard spec from the taylormade shop in Singapore

well i previously used 950 nippons and now currently am using 1150s! these definately go a good bit lower (probably to do with the slightly heavier weight along with slightly stiff tip!) and will give you a more piercing flight, with no apparent loss of feel. i suggest trying the 1150s !!!

Hi plus one...went to try deloft the iron ..ball flight lower now ..but looks like not enough carry ...need faster swing speed to get it carry.

I don't see why people want the ball going so low. If it goes high, but you don't lose any distance your okay. You can put it back in the stance and hit a stinger (one of my favourite shots), when it gets windy. But the height, under normal conditions, can never hurt anyone, especially in the long irons. If you need a stiffer shaft, go with that. Changing the lofts will mess you up too much.

I agree with you here. I hit a fairly low ball to begin with and would love to have some towering iron shots. They just hold better on the greens. It seems it is easier to hit the ball lower when you have to than to hit it higher.
