Also I heard from a guy that he has a set, apparently there are serial numbers on every one of the iron heads is this true or do you think he is mistaken. I found the same to be true with Nike split backs. Some of them do and some don't. It probably depends on when they were released. Most likely the first sets that came out on tour did not have the serial numbers, but they added them as more sets were put into circulation. I hope this helps. madball Posted January 7, 2006 Report Share Posted January 7, 2006 I don't know the whole story on the serial numbers, but I do know for a fact that there are "tour issued" sets of these that came out of the tour van.. ramizuno13 Posted January 7, 2006 Report Share Posted January 7, 2006 The difference between the "Tour Van" issue MP60's and the retail is that the "Tour Van" irons are not assembled until the tour player asks for them. There is no discrimination on quality. Also, the tour player can have different custom options not available to the US customer. This includes name, different paint fills, extreme grinds, shafts, etc... Although, TSG can order most of these options thru Mizuno for you.
