Anybody out there know if there are sets of tour issue mp 60 mizuno irons????? i have heard that there is. Also I heard from a guy that he has a set, apparently there are serial numbers on every one of the iron heads is this true or do you think he is mistaken. I was always under the impression hat Mizuno only put serial numbers on one iron not all of them.

I have seen them both ways actually. I found the same to be true with Nike split backs. Some of them do and some don't. It probably depends on when they were released. Most likely the first sets that came out on tour did not have the serial numbers, but they added them as more sets were put into circulation.

I don't know the whole story on the serial numbers, but I do know for a fact that there are "tour issued" sets of these that came out of the tour van.. I was in position to get a set and passed.. Now I wish I would have jumped on them :tsg_smilie_wah:

The difference between the "Tour Van" issue MP60's and the retail is that the "Tour Van" irons are not assembled until the tour player asks for them. There is no discrimination on quality. Also, the tour player can have different custom options not available to the US customer. This includes name, different paint fills, extreme grinds, shafts, etc... Although, TSG can order most of these options thru Mizuno for you.
