Longbow
I was born left handed. Write left, throw left, etc. When I took up the game, my dad said this; "most courses are set up for a right handed swing. A right handed swing is left arm dominent. I should learn to swing that way." I did and never regretted it at all. My game came around very fast as my left arm is the stronger of the two anyway. When I started, there were not many left handed clubs. There are a lot now but, learning right handed, I never had the problem.
sly_sam
This demostrates how me being a left handed hockey player forced me to me a right handed golfer. As you know, the muscles used to shoot in hockey are similar to the ones that swing the golf club. My left side on my upper body was developed enough to make the motion of swinging right handed very natural. Alot of the best celeberties athletes who golf are hockey players. Brett Hull played in a Nationwide Tour event as a pro, and he's been a sratch player for years. People always ask me how I ever became a right handed golfer from being a left handed hockey player, I tell them it was just natural. Then again, every once and a while I do flip a wedge around and hit it lefty on the range, just for fun. (some advice on this: developing both sides is a great way to improve on mechanics, it takes you out of getting too dominant with one or the other, smoothing out faults; both Tiger a Phil will both practice with the opposite side, and even switch clubs in pracitce rounds on occasion)

Did you know that if it wan't for those right handed hockey players, Miura would probably not be making any Lefty clubs...
ThumperSr
Arnold Palmer and Ben Hogan are/were both left handed. Phil is right handed. Being a right handed pitcher, batting and golfing lefty just seemed natural to me. I don't, however, think that courses are set up for either---nor does a lefty have a natural curve ball. Good luck. Guest goldencap
I don't really understand why left handed ice hockey players play golf from the right? I play hockey and golf from the left and I couldn't even imagine another way to do this. My father plays hockey from the right and also golf from the right, how can it be that most play these sports from different sides?
