Posted October 3, 200618 yr Hi guys, I've been a member here for a short while and have found that this is one great website to find out all the information about Japanese golf equipments. I have learned many great tips from the experts here. Presently I'm in a position of replacing all the shafts in my woods and am in a little bit of dilenma here selecting the right shafts especially trying out my old's Honma 420RF - 10* driver with 2 star TK353 regular shaft. I was hoping maybe the experts here might be able to give me some tips. The following is my current setup: Driver: Tourstage 9* - OEM Tourstage Stiff Shaft 3.4* torque and 64g 3 Wood: Tourstage 14* - OEM Tourstage Stiff Shaft 4.2* torque and 63g 5 Wood: Tourstage 18* - OEM Tourstage Regular Shaft 4.3* torque and 61g I'm a newbie when it comes to equipments & shafts and have only tried a selected range of shafts. I'm wondering whether there are any alternative shafts out there which has similar performance and feel as the TK353 regular but doesn't carry a premium price tag? I would greatly appreciate it if anyone could shad some lights or provide some alternatives for me to try. Many thanks in advance. C.B Edit: P.S Would Mitsubishi Rayon Diamana M-73 ION Stiff play similar to TK353 shaft? Edited October 3, 200618 yr by Le Quiet Uno
October 3, 200618 yr Are you trying to replace the TK 353 2 stars or the Tourstages? People buy Honma for its shafts and by replacing them with a cheaper or no as good shaft does not make sense unless the TK is too soft. Replacing the Tourstages I can understand.

Hi Duffer, Well I don't think I will be able to get that Honma off my old man so I'm thinking if I can't get that one off him, i might as well replace the shaft in my tourstage and replace with aftermarket shaft which has similar performance and charactoristics as TK353 shaft. If that makes sense?
