vandercharks
Anybody know anything about these irons? Evidently European PGA Tour Player John Bickerton had these in the bag when he won the Open de France in July. Didn't know Maruman had much of a tour presence until watching the Hong Kong Open when Juvic Pagunsan of the Philippines finished 2nd. Here are some pics below:
xxio
Juvic has been sponsored by Maruman for so long because of a local friendship. He could've gone elsewhere a long time ago but he values friendship more than $$$. Good thing he is making $$ otherwise that would've been tested really well. I know the local Maruman guy/distributor, I buy quite a few things from him. He usually has great putter hook ups. Nice to see the relationship/investment paying off for the guy. I wonder if these new Conductors are the new player's CBs he was telling me about 3 months ago. I used to play Maruman "Sparkle" blades a looooong time ago. Those were the squarest toes I have ever seen on a club. I hope Juvic plays well in the Sony Open.
vandercharks
In one of the pics I saw from the Hong Kong Open, it looked like Juvic had these in the bag. They kind of remind me of the 690.CH prototypes with the channel-back. Edited November 28, 2006 by golferselbow
karjar
Those are very nice. Wonder what they would set a person back. I see a set of 690CH protos just went on ebay for +$3200!!! ouch!! In one of the pics I saw from the Hong Kong Open, it looked like Juvic had these in the bag. They kind of remind me of the 690.CH prototypes with the channel-back. jick
I saw this set in the flesh last October. It was still brand new and was intended for Juvic's use. Based on what people say about the Hong Kong Open, I guess Juvic really put it to use. By the way, the undercut cavity is only until the 5-iron. From the 6-iron down, it is just a nice mucle-cavity. No musclebacks even in the short irons so it really isn't a "mixed set" because it ends at the "muscle-cavity" stage. Unlike the Sligshots or Apex Edge, the undercut cavity of this set is quite thin and narrow-- and high. If dirt and grass get it, I cannot conceive how it would be possible to clean it. So that is the only potential problem I forsee with this set.
Duffer19
The Conductor must be a Europe/US only line as the company Japanese site does not have them under all their different brands, i.e. Exim, Majesty etc.
vandercharks
The Conductor must be a Europe/US only line as the company Japanese site does not have them under all their different brands, i.e. Exim, Majesty etc. Checking Maruman's UK site, there's a link for the Conductor irons and wedges...just no pics or info. I had to get specs from a ebay seller who had these for auction not too long ago. The funny thing is that GDO online has these irons for sale, yet the Maruman Japan site makes no mention about these irons.
CharlesMeredithIII
THe Conductors are definitely available in the UK but I don't think anywhere else. You can see the pics on the Maruman UK site http://www.marumangolf.co.uk

Here are some pics below: I'm not sure if John Bickerton was using these at the French Open as they weren't available in July 06? He was definitely using the Maruman KS Wedge though. I think he's been using the Conductors since then. Interesting to see what he's using at the Qatar. He has the Maruman staff bag.

xxio
Asia release is in a few weeks. I posted on another thread. I hope Maruman makes a comeback. The quality is good. They just need a better marketing team.
roverbob
Saw some pics of the conductor at WRX Sony OPEN Pics thread. I guess they are Juvics since he got a slot in the tournament. To bad he shot 75, hope he recovers on the 2nd day.
