iorns I can grow with

I'm new to this site and want to start by saying "hello" and letting everyone know how interesting I find this site.

With that said, I'm looking to move on from my MX 15's to a nice feeling iron that I can grow with. I play about twice a month and have been playing for 2 years. My scores have improved from about 115 to the low 90's and mid 80's on a good day. I was almost ready to pull the trigger on the MX 25's or Bridgestone GC Mids before I found this site. Now I'm looking at wide range of sets with the Tourstage ViQ's looking the most interesting.

Others that I've been reading about here are:

Mizuno JPX's

G-Field CCB, NC-1

Fourteen TC 770

Epon x, Pro II

Any comments and suggestions to lead me in the right direction are appreciated. In addition, I have a trip planned to Thailand and I've read about clubs being forged there, are there any good deals on clubs there?

Looking for a nice sole, I tend to hit fat when I miss.

Thanks,

Gordo

All are good clubs, Epon would be the most interesting. Do you think about Miura too?

I just saw ViQ line and I have to say wow, it's very fine and techie. Thinking to buy one ViQ UT too.

Personally I love muscle backed cavity irons, I use Beres tw901 now. It's forgiving but still have soft feeling.

EPON is forged in Thailand but maybe you will not find any EPON there, Honma is a brand of choice there sometime you can get huge discount there. Beware of fakes!

Demoed MX25 and Bridgestone GC Mids and liked them both. Each of them were very easy to hit consistantly. Still considering the forged ViQ, TC 770 unforged, and Epon Pro II even though I haven't hit them. Any comparsions are welcome.

If you're playing in the 80's and want to grow your game, the new ViQ Forged would be great as would be the Epon Type X. Those would be my two picks. Both forged by Endo, great feel, great playability but not too advanced for your level yet could bring you all the way down to a scratch golfer. Both sets look great and play great. Either of these irons fitted to your game and swing will be awesome.

My vote is to consider the MP60s. The more I hit these clubs the more impressed I am with what a capable compromise club they are. Might even consider dropping my MBs and buying some for myself.

Good luck.

Thanks for the advice and helping narrow things down.
