Randy
I am looking at getting a more GI set of irons to rotate with a set of blades (Tour TM TP MBs) and players CB (MOZ 2030) and after 3 months or so see which set actually gives me the consistently best scores. I currently have a set of Ping Raptures for my GI irons, but find them a little bulky and more offset than I like. Getting to the Topic Title, I have played a set of Fusion irons and liked them and thinking about getting them, but am interested in the ERC Hot irons, but couldn't find much info on them. If you have tried both, I would appreciate any info you could provide on offset, forgivness, feel, able to work the ball, and etc between the two. Thanks in advance for any info you provide. randy
K2_2
I'm on the run, In short, the ERC Hot irons rock! They have a spring steel face (a little extra distance) and a slightly more compact head than the Fusions (sold as the ERC Fusion in Japan) yet they are still very, very forgiving. I have hit both and did not detect a big difference in forgiveness, but I did like the feel of the ERC hot better. Part of that could be due to the difference in shafts though (Nippon 950's versus the uniflex in the US spec Fusions). To answer your other questions, offset is not large (I will try to take a look over the weekend to do a direct comparison), and you can work the ball with them. As a bonus, the ERC HOT have a forged body making them easier to adjust than standard Callaways. However, Callaway in the US WILL adjust lies on their Japanese clubs - they are one of the ONLY companies that do that for their customers in the US who have clubs from overseas. They do cost a bit more than standard Fusions, but they are great clubs. Edited February 9, 2007 by K2_2
