offtheback
quick question....which way does the shaft orient in the head...logo up or down...or find NBP and Spine? thanks josh
Duffer19
Normally the logo would face up but after mine was spined, the logo is now facing right at about 45*. My AXIV was not put on an Epon. Edited February 20, 2007 by Duffer19
mpd
Mine came logo down on my Epon 460.
mach1
Per Carlton Matsui who is Mamiya trained and certified is it supposed to be logo down. Mine came logo down on my Epon 460.
Blader-X
Here's a previous thread in which this was discussed. Hope this helps even though it might be a little late. http://forum.tourspecgolf.com/index.ph...p;hl=axiv+shaft
offtheback
Thanks for the replies..I went Logo down...I typicially check for spine and flo each shaft i install...however recently working with another high end shaft maker(ozik) I found the performance to be under par doing it my way...once I went with recommendation of the shaft maker the results improved(it sure is nice working Very High Quality shaft makers today!!). Intial impressions of the Axiv V is stunning...this is a seriously good shaft(but of course all you guys here already know that!! lol)...Feels like a cross between a Diamana whiteboard and a Ozik Code's...Piercing, controled with perfect launch and most importantly decending angle- great stuff(thank you TSGirl for your recommendation!) thanks Josh

al_t
quick question....which way does the shaft orient in the head...logo up or down...or find NBP and Spine?thanks josh I had an Aixv V-series Pured and fitted it accordingly, it came out with the logo facing the target. I hit it and couldn't do anything but hit BIG hooks, that shot is not in my bag(hcp 1). My friend tried it and hit exactly the same shot(hcp 0.1). I ignored the puring and refitted it in logo down. Straight long drives ensued, both for me and my friend. I'm not sure of the technology in the Axiv but it felt as if the shaft was kicking in the direction of the logo, so when the shaft was off centre it went hard left through impact. For two golfers who rarely hit hooks to hit 10 big ones on the trot and then back to straight when the shaft is re-aligned seems an unlikely coincidence. That seems like very strong evidence to the fact of having the shaft placed correctly.
