My club fitter wants to lengthen my irons by 1 ", but when I get to my 8 iron he recommended that I keep that length the same and only decrease at a 1/4 inch for the 9 and my wedges instead of the normal 1/2 inch. He recommended this because I seemed to hence over my shorter irons. This makes seens to me, but what are some other opions or does this make sense.

I also have found that standard lengths very depending upon ones sources, after looking up some standard lenght I have already found 3 different fitting lengths. So what is standard lenths for Irons 3-wedges???? confused on so many different standard lengths!!!!!
