Epon shaft Question

I would like to see if anyone has play an Epon 460 10.5* driver with a white board. Currently I have an Epon 460 cc with a Axiv 6060L that I traded with Gocchin. The weight and stiffness of the 6060L is fine except it is just it bit high at times. From Launch Monitor numbers and past experience, I might benefit from a higher kick point with a softer butt like the White. I have a new D63 in R flex.

There are numerious combination of the Epon head with different shafts and a majority with regular Axiv or V but very few whites on this forum. I would get the benefit of your experience before I start fooling around with reshafting.

I have also wondered the same.. Everyone seems to love the Axiv combo, but what else is working for you? Any success with any Ozik or any form of Diamana?? Lets here it>>

I dont have the EPON 460 shafted with OZik. But i have a Epon 7 wood shafted with the Ozik Altus. Putting it in play this weekend. Will post what I think next week.

Since no one responsed to my post on the White board/Epon combo, I went ahead and reshafted the AXIV 6060L with a D63 R flex and the result is unbelivable. The 6060L was good but it was too high for my liking and I would lose it to the right at times. The white with a stiff tip, mid and a soft butt has taken both right and left side out of play. Mind you that it was reshafted yesterday and I only had a 30 minutes range session with it. For those interested in CPM, the Epon with the 6060L was 245 at 45"/C9 and the White D63 R is 235 cpm at 45.25"/D1 and without tipping on both. The flight is definitely lower with the White but not overly so. I cannot tell the different of 10 cpm difference in feel.

The stiffer tip must definitely be reducing spin on the ball for you while the soft butt is still transmitting feel. How does the distance compare?

So far with 3 games with the white board, the distance is 15 to 20 yards longer (and lower launch) than the 6060L. Also shaft another Epon 460 with an old Fuji SIX and the flight is higher (not as high as 6060L) but just as long as the White. The SIX is high kick but soft tip.

Thanks for taking the plunge with the White Board. I've been wondering about this shaft since it came out and it was looking as if no one was putting it into play. Or, at least not talking about it if they were.

Overall, how do you feel about the shaft now? What I mean is, does it transmit tremendous feel while giving you the better results or, is it just giving results and not much in the way of feedback?

I cannot compare it with Blue or Red board since this is my first Diamana and I thought I did not have enough game for the shaft. Evidently, the shaft is not difficult to handle and it is low spin as claimed and have not snap book any shot yet. It has good feel or as good if not better than the Machline Proto I have on the JC606. I have hit Gocchin's Roddio into a net and it has really great feel (better than the MACHLINE). I need to get him to lend me his gamer for a round for comparison.
