Momoko Ueda - win the other week

Hi all,

Being a fan of Callaway Japan, and of the Japan LPGA when I get some news about it (hit or miss since my Japanese has really gone down hill) I was pretty excited to see that Momoko Ueda won the other week. Also, if my friend's translation of the article was on, it was her first win, so congratulations to her!

If anyone on here follows the JLPGA and happens to know what she was using, could you throw that up here? I know Golfdigest Japan lists her with an X18 CF and some X-tours, but I just wondered if she had started using the ERC Hyper or any of the ERC hot fairways.

Okay, Momo-chan's revised bag as of April:

Ueda Momoko June 15th, 1986

Callaway Hyper ERC 8.5* with Graphite Design Tour AD Pink Prototype R Flex w/ Pink Iomic Grip

The Pink Tour AD proto is modelled after the old popular Pro Tour I65 shaft for tight dispersion and pinpoint control.

Callaway X Fairway Woods 15*, 19* 21* and 24* all shafted with un branded mid torque mid kick R flex 80g FW shafts

Callaway X-Tour Irons with NS Pro 950GH Regular

Interestingly 5-7 are Japanese model X-Tour's and 8-PW are different color plated US model X-Tours which are apparently 1* flat compared to their Japanese counterparts (this surprised me, US Model flatter than JDM??)

Callaway X-Tour Momo wedges 52/11 and 58/11 with PM grind

Putter is Odyssey TriHot #3

Ball is Callaway HX Tour

Thanks again!

While I'm not surprised to see the ERC Hot in place of her old driver, the mix of US and Japanese X-Tours is funny, and I too am surprised to hear that the US spec short irons would be more flat than the JDM ones.

Driver aside, it seems she hasn't changed too much of late, and it seems like everything is working well!
