K2_2
Hi guys, I haven't ever compared these two side by side, but a friend was looking at both and wanted to know what the experts think! I'd normally say go with the newer club, but he was really hooked on the 404, whereas he hasn't hit the ZR-600. I think the ZR-600 is pretty forgiving in the mid and long irons, but I haven't hit an I-404 for quite awhile. I remember them being very solid, but I don't remember the long irons being punishing or super forgiving... any advice?

They do have a smaller head then the ZR600 different weighting and do not have the heal/toe cuts to help cut through the turf and not dig. SO the ZR600 will be more forgiving, but the 404 is a very solid iron.
K2_2
Hi scandalls, Thank you for the input, we'll see which way it turns out. Personally, I love the modern look on the ZR and it is a dream to hit. However, since I myself am a little hesitant to buy clubs that I have not been able to demo, I won't push them on someone who has tried and enjoyed the I-404. Cheers
goodvibes
I can't imagine a better sole grind than the I-404. There crisp and at the same time wont dig. Much more penetrating flight than other Srixons that I've tried.
