Duffer19
Well T: I just cannot keep up with you on all these. My head is still spinning from all these beautiful gears. I guess I would just have to stop looking at your posts from now on. Edited June 2, 2007 by Duffer19

idrive
I'm interested in what you think about the graphite shafts in the wedges after you've had a chance to hit them a few times. I haven't found a graphite shaft for irons that I prefer over steel.

gocchin
I was at the range this morning with the wife and spent significant time hitting just the two wedges and the Epon roddio combo. The driver is as always amazing feeling, great kick and I know there are some that don't get roll with their Epon but with this Epon Roddio combo I am getting 20 yards of roll. It just lands and keeps going! The drives were straight and long for sure and I'm never ceased to be amazed by the feel of the epon driver. Paired with the Roddio, it's just unbeatable for me. Sound, feel, looks, performance, the complete package. The two wedges are fantastic. I also had the Epon X in NiCr20 which were soft but the Copper 52* feel is the softest I have ever felt. Pure butter. And the Tour AD graphite, very very smooth... they are very comparable to the axiv and play a bit stiffer which is why I have them in the wedges. Very good feedback and especially on chips with the 58* Technity. Dispersion is as good as Nippon 1050GH which I had previously in my Epon wedges. There is this green at the range with a pin I practice full out wedges shots to and the graphite is just as accurate. I'm able to hit them 5-10 further due to the lighter weight but still deadly accurate. With the JDM offerings in graphite iron shafts now, there is so much to choose from and a wide variety of weights and kickpoints. Axiv, GD Tour AD, Roddio... I can't see myself playing steel anymore because they do not lose to steel in anyway, at least for me. As others have noticed, the Technity puts on crazy spin, more than the X. I will need more time to see how they play on a course and compare to each other. I could have gone with two X copper wedges or two Technity wedges but I decided to mix and match to experiment. Also I go 2-4* flat on my wedges... I find it's very versatile that way.
shiftless
Custom Epon 10.5* 1.5* Closed 1* Flat + Roddio W5BA!! (my bad shot is right and this combo will definitely help)!! The Roddio rocked in my Yamaha and now it's in my favorite head! I gotta say, T, that you are truly amazing! Your club changes...it's like a serial show where I wait in anticipation for next week's episode. Finding the right shaft and pairing it to the right head sounds like a good plan. A driver head demo program...that's what we need!

So I can gauge the performance of different heads by keeping the same shaft in them all.
bogeydog
I think I was probably the first to put the Roddio W6BA into an EPON 460. I posted a review back a month or so ago that speaks to the addtional roll over what I had with the Axiv-6066. Each time I play with this club, I get more accurate and the distance keeps growing. I know that it is confidence that is helping the swing. I have hit some of the longest drives which I "called" prior to hitting them. I can't say anything much different than the others. I have on order an EPON 13.5 with a Roddio W7BA and am also waiting for a set of Roddio iron shafts to arrive that I ordered. If they are like the driver, then I am set for quite sometime. Gochin - Are you making the move to the irons? Well one thing I've determined is that the Roddio is the shaft to beat for me. So I can gauge the performance of different heads by keeping the same shaft in them all.
Blader-X
T, You are one sick puppy!! But my, do you take some great pics for us all to drool over!! Much love for those Epon X-model wedges. Since I've put those in my bag I haven't the want or need for any others. For me the perfect wedge coupled with the Black Gold shafts. Mine are 3 degrees flat and just perfect. Hitting that Epon with the Roddio is something else right now but until a few more rounds I won't be able to judge it completely. I think I know what the end result will be, but I can't believe it might actually be as good as I think it'll turn out to be. Can't wait to hear feedback on all these clubs. I know some TSG'ers would like to hear more about the Diamana White Board. Not too many putting that one into play. Nice clubs, man, nice clubs. Its a good thing they don't have interventions or 12-step programs for JDM addiction or else you'd be a prime candidate!!

Blader-X
And I would NOT be alone!! No, you would not be. I know several on this website who could use an intervention, myself included. However, I am shooting some really great scores lately and if I could just find a little more time to play it could turn into something special. That and a little more tweaking to my bag. Most of the clubs are set but still working on a couple new additions. Never have I enjoyed golf more than I am right now!! And its all thanks to this equip. Its really special. In fact, I went the other day to a store to see what my swing speed was and hit several drivers they had there as demos. The Titleist D2 and D1, the Nike toaster, er, Sumo, and several others. None of them and I mean none could even come close to the feelings I get from mine. In fact, after a short time I didn't even want to hit them. I had to go back home and hit the Epon/Roddio into the net for awhile to purge myself of those "awful" feelings. Golf is definitely a different game when you hit equipment that feels that great as well as when its matched up for your swing and characteristics. It really is just that great!!
