Spoon
guys i am in a bit of a dilemma. i have been looking for an iron set to get and have been choosing between the many jdm brands. in the end based on reviews and the advice of certain mods, i have decided to narrow it down to epon. Now my problem is choosing between the type s or type x. would have loved the js but i am not qualified at this moment to use em Just to tel you a little about my game, im just took up the sport again this year, i played a little when i was about 11 but completely stopped since. my handycap revolves around the 20s region with strokes being saved the more times i play. biggest improvements have been my short game and putting. Current players are Sword katana i830 irons with rifle 90 shafts and a beres mg801 which i am saving for future use. i guess i am looking for game improvement irons that have exceptional feel and playability with forgiveness. also looking at one that is relatively sleeker in profile. so i am deciding between the type x or s. both have great reviews. was wondering if you guys can help me decide one that will suit my game and more. thanks in advance
Cameron
At this point in the game, so to speak, I'd go for the most forgiveness, which is the Type X, as I understand it. Plenty of time to improve and decide on a "players" club. Don't make the game harder than it is! And don't let folks mess with your mind telling you about "working" the ball. Fooey! Hit the dang thing straight. You need a handicap near zero to "work" the ball in a manner that improves your score! Cameron
Forte
I agree. Go type X.
gocchin
Carlo, both irons are superb and honestly you cannot go wrong with either. If game improvement and feel is what you want then you should choose the Type X iron. Very forgiving with great feel and does not setup like other game improvement irons which is a good thing. Reasonably thin topline and good sized head, you'll have a pretty good looking compact iron with game improvement type results, an iron you can play all the way down to scratch! Spoon
carlo,i have to agree with everyone here. go with the epon type x and thank us later. its a super easy set to hit. and it has probably the best feel for any iron in its category. a solid choice, anyway you look at it. 808 thanks for all the advice guys! i have already decided to get the epon x based on all the positive reviews from this forum. im pretty sure after pulling the trigger on the irons i will be hooked on endo steel!
