I went to a local fitter yesterday to have my old set (a set I leave in HK to play when in town) of Mizuno T-Zoid Pro irons reshaft with Shimada K'3001 from the heavier stock DG R300. He told me that he had reshafted at least 3 sets in the past few months and no one is getting rid of them anytime soon although it is almost a 10 years old model. I was further advised that unlike the newer Mizuno forged, the T-Zoid I and II were not made from 1025c.

Would anyone have any idea the steel alloy used on the T-Zoid Pro if it is not 1025?

I hope someone has some info on this. I have a set of pro's and pro II's that I was considering getting rid of. Some info might convince me to keep them.

It is 1025 carbon steel. Rest assured!

Thanks Big Mack

Of course I have no problem with 1025 carbon but I was told that it is even softer than 1025 for Pro 1 and II but Miz switched to 1025 in the later models such as comp and mp line. Perhaps 1020 C if there is such a thing. In any case, most pro owners are keeping their sets.

The "Pro" model is a lot like the "Comp EZ" model in regards to players hanging on to them. Everytime I do a Fitting Day, I always have 1 or 2 people coming to me about their Pro's or Comp's. The Comp might be the most sought-after club Miz has. Everyone who has them is always looking to get more. And you couldn't talk them into a new set of Miz's if you tried!! But to answer your 1st again. It really is 1025c. Great set of sticks!

I am not at all surprised when I hear people are playing 10 year old Mizuno irons......"quality is remembered long after price is forgotten".

anyone know what the mx25s are made of? i know its pretty new but i was also advised not to sell this model as well
