Epon 460 10.5 vs. Srixon WR 11.5

I have a chance to compare both driver with identical shafts today at actual course condition. The Epon is 10.5 degree with Diamana white board d63 R at 45.25 and the Srixon WR is also shafted with a d63 R at 45.5 inches. While the Srixon is 1 degree higher loft, it does not launch the ball any higher than the Epon. The Epon was consistently 15-20 yards longer than the Srixon although both go fairly straight with the Epon even at a slightly high launch angle while it is 1 degree stated loft lower. While both drivers are conforming but the Epon does seem to have a 'hotter' face.

I'm surprised with similar shafts that the epon beat the srixon by that much. I liked the srixon, the shape sound and feel of it. Of course it's not the same as the Epon but it was still pretty good.
