Kid Bro Sweets
are the Viq 07's more forgiving than the z101s? Thinking of picking up something more forgiving and not cutting as deep as the z101s was also thinking about srixon i506 since they are on sale and have a wider sole. K2_2
2007 Viq forged is larger and more forgiving than the Z. I also like the grind better than the 506... that's more personal preference though for my swing/angle of attack.
gocchin
I've owned all three... ViQ Forged is definitely the most forgiving then followed by the i506's and the Z101's. The Z101's are some of the best looking irons ever but they are definitely player's irons. The i506 is forgiving but it has a sharper leading edge which can be problematic for diggers. The ViQ Forged is is great all around, feel, looks and performance.
Kid Bro Sweets
thanks for the replies so far if you guys have any other suggestions that would be great i am wanting to go more towards the middle of GI and players irons. I was evening considering the Ping I5 (lol ya big difference) but the offset was hard to look at the I10s not so bad.
K2_2
Apologies for rushing my first reply, I was headed out to a meeting. I haven't hit the I10 yet, but if you were looking at the ViQ or the I5, hands down, I would go with the ViQ forged. For me, they really provided a great blend of player's club workability with game improvement forgiveness. They took the Japan LPGA by storm earlier this year, so plenty of skilled players have deemed them fit for serious play!
