Posted September 18, 200717 yr comment_141583 I had a raw 60* Seida Prototype sitting around that had picked up some rust over the summer. I've been working with my personal clubfitter to do some custom grinds and wedge finishing lately and we experimented with Perma Blue on the Seida, interesting result as we got it to look more cooper antique than a gun blue....

September 19, 200717 yr comment_141712 Now to refinish my Gauge Carl wedge.... (^_^) im keeping an eye on that gauge design by carl:)
September 20, 200717 yr Author comment_141760 im keeping an eye on that gauge design by carl:) I actually have two in the collection. a 57* and a 58* The one behind it, the Grind Studio, is so beautiful I have not hit it outside yet....
September 20, 200717 yr comment_141787 Hi Gocchin That Yururi came out quite nice, how do you intend to remove the finish on the Gauge wedge? I have a similar project for the winter, I have 2 mint sets of Mizuno TP9 that I'm going to treat with gun blue, just not sure how to strip the crome. //Carl
September 20, 200717 yr Author comment_141789 Carl, I'm actually lucky, that wedge by Carl is raw, as you can see it's already showing signs of surface rust.... I don't know what would work on chrome!?
September 20, 200717 yr comment_141792 I'm probably going to have to "grind/polish" of the crome, if anyone knows about about another easier technique, plz let me know :D The TP9's are the one set I love to go back to, just love the design of those. //Carl
September 20, 200717 yr comment_141793 gocchin, how does the Gauge design by Carl compare with Chikara. It would be an interesting test, and you are just the man for the job.
