Posted September 19, 200717 yr comment_141730 I have a set of TS Z101 with 6.0 Projext X (old ones) and have difficulties getting hight on the longer irons (low penetrating flight and tough to stop the ball on our hard european greens). Must say that i had this set in my addic for a while and just now decided to give them a try again and really love them. My SS is around 80 with the 6 iron (if i swing easy more around 75 and if i swing hard i go up to 85) and have absolutely no problem with the lower irons. Have a low ballflight in general (am a 3 hdcp and good ballstriker) so i'm thinking would it be a good thing to change the longer irons (5 and up) for a 5.5 PX or better to have a 6.0 flighted or 6.0 HL... ? I just want to get them up more easily. Feel now i'm swinging to hard to get them airborne. Need some advice on this. Secondly, does anybody know what shaft goes in the Z101.. taper or parallel and tipdiameter ? thx in advance.

If satin finished, best guess they from hi-kp's similar to the current standard PX. I wouldn't mix shafts older with newer 5.5's, but that's me; I like my irons to feel very similar though out the set. I would suggest moving to either current "standard" PX's or "flighted" PX's; no personal interest in high-launch versions; they were designed for mid-hi caps. I have standard PX 6.0's (hi-kp) in my PW/SW/LW and 1 iron, and Flighted PX 6.0 in 2-9i. No knowledge of Bridgestone's Z101's. Good Luck

My PX are about 2 years old and are the regular satin ones.

Satin finish was the finish of choice until 2yrs ago; when satin was supposedly discontinuted. Although that finish is still available through certain distributors that over stocked.
