Spoon
Kudos to Epon for making new high end Japan forged and innovative products Now that I'm addressing the issue, is the new Epon EMB Forged driver actually forged and made in Japan or partly done in Thailand claus, emb is a little shallower than the forged 460. albeit slightly. as for the forging, its entirely done in japan while the finishing process such as polishing is done in the thailand plant
gocchin
According to the specs it's quite a bit more shallow and a lot wider... the EMB is 50mm high which is shallow by todays standards and the Epon 460 is 57mm high, if I'm not mistaken all Epon woods are forged in Japan. By the way, I just got the pre-order up (^_^) http://www.tourspecgolf.com/proshop/p1531/...oduct_info.html
sarintr
Interesting design to say the least.... Don't know if I will buy this or the more traditional looking 460 from Epon next year - but one of them will definitely be in my bag for the upcoming Spring 2008 season Don't know which shafts would fit this MOI head the best........would be nice to see some pics or hear from folks, who have hit both the Epon 460 and this new Epon EMB 460, how much deeper the face is on the traditional 460 compared to this new Epon EMB - I prefer a deeper faced driver........ Kudos to Epon for making new high end Japan forged and innovative products Now that I'm addressing the issue, is the new Epon EMB Forged driver actually forged and made in Japan or partly done in Thailand AF-460 deeper face than E.M.B. The shaft that fit to E.M.B must to higher torque. That prove it from MR.TW. He doesn't like and not use sq square one. Because he always hit to the right (fade) with stiff and low tq shaft. That why use Tour-AD for E.M.B. Anyway Epon must to forging, scaning, laser marking, packaging, assembling then shipping from Japan. Another processes with plasma or laser and finishing in thailand. These my opinion. Thank you
gocchin
Okay just pulled out my trusty japanese driver guide... The EMB has the deepest center of gravity of any driver... (I don't know about those new TM or Cobra drivers though...) at 45.5mm back from the face. The FT-i was the former champ at 45.1mm followed by the PRGR 502 Silver at 44.3 and the FT-5 at 42.8 and the TM Burner TP at 42.1 and the Sumo2 at 41.7mm.
