Posted November 9, 200717 yr comment_144358 I just picked up a used set of Miura Passing Point PP-9001 irons and they came with the SYB K's-6001 T100 shaft. Hadn't heard of these shafts and did some researh and found a little info on the SYB website, but not a lot. Does any one know anything about these shafts? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Randy

November 9, 200717 yr comment_144361 All I know is that they are Shimada K-6001's with constant weight. Around 105g and mid to low kick point... so definitely a higher launching iron shaft. SYB recommends them for swing speeds of 94mph or more (driver). It's a standard shaft that Miura Giken and it's authorized builders put in the Passing Point irons.

T; I think SYB has the exclusive on 4001 and 6001. They are Shimada but nobody else carries them. If you are looking for the heavier Shimada, these are the ones but I have not seem it on other Miuras. Edited November 9, 200717 yr by Duffer19

I actually saw them in my shaft guide... definitely considered high launch steel in the Syb lineup.
November 11, 200717 yr comment_144469 I had a set of gauge design with them in it... they played very tip soft and soft to flex-- and i think NSPros 1150 play soft!!! So these are WAY soft. JAT

January 6, 200817 yr comment_146481 how are you liking the passing point irons? specifically, how is the feel of these? are they ultr asoft feeling? thanks,
January 6, 200817 yr Author comment_146482 I found the Passing Point irons to be good, but not good enough to keep them in the bag. To me they are more forgiving than they look, but didn't find them to be ultra soft. Since feel is subjective, they may feel great to some, but I like a little softer feel like the Gauge FCBs. Randy
February 12, 200816 yr comment_147444 Have a set of these shafts in Gold's Factory CB's. The shafts feel just a touch lighter than NS 1150's, but don't have the "weakness" of the NS 1050's--sounds weird, but it's a stouter shaft than the 1050's but about the same weight. A good shaft best as I can tell. Tip soft, good feel, but very workable. Tight step pattern, nice graphics. If you like NS Pros you'd like these.
February 12, 200816 yr comment_147451 just got a set of shimadas for my wedges and i was quite surprised by how they felt. find them a bit boardy not harsh at all but definetley not lively. their lightweight steelshafts for irons though are pretty good.
