November 11, 200717 yr Quick question guys, doe's this baby launch true to spec or high in 10.5*? Is the face square or closed? Thanks guys, really thinking about purchasing one (wanted one ever since it's introduction). I've seen three retail samples tested, two 425's and one 460. Here are the numbers: a) 425 9.5*: actual loft 8.9*, face angle 0.5* open b) 460 9.5*: actual loft 9.3*, face angle 0.6* open c) 425 9.5*: actual loft 9.8*, face angle 0.5* open
November 11, 200717 yr Author Big question; is it nice?? So many nice driver options these days including Mizzy and Cobra's new US driver lineup, just want to make sure it's worth the money.
November 11, 200717 yr I think it's one of the nicest looking drivers around... more classic, not big MOI style. I think AJ can give you some good feedback as he has hit it against the X-Drive and Epon and likes it.
November 11, 200717 yr I've hit the smaller Craft with a Mizuno Quad shaft and it is a good club; solid feel, nice blend of forgiveness and being able to shape shots, and it looks tight! I'm told that the 460 is a bit more forgiving, but I haven't hit the 460 outside. Personally, I like the feel of the current X-Drive and the Yamaha 425V better for this type of driver... but that is strictly a subjective, non-performance based thing. If I had hit the Craft with a Quattro Tech that might have ended up in the bag.

So many nice driver options these days including Mizzy and Cobra's new US driver lineup, just want to make sure it's worth the money. nice is subjective.... (among the EPON, xdrive 460, mp craft 425 and a host of other US drivers) looks - i will rate it as the best out there forgiveness - not as forgiving as the EPON tight dispersion......----- best out there length... longer than the epon on good shots... but its minor - 5 -10 yards workability .... high..... but the epon suffices....as most people dont work their drivers like their irons.. i do shape my shots and i can do it with all threee ball flight .... more boring... my money club is the epon..... but when i am striking well, i prefer to have the mp craft in..... the xdrive 460 is somewhere in between the two.... if you are ok with less forgiveness than the EPON, then you will like the MP Craft..... BTW, i have the roddio in the epon, xdrive 460 and the Rombax in the mp craft
November 12, 200717 yr The 460 was made to be more forgiving than the 425. People loved the 425 when it came out but the knock against it was a lack of forgiveness as players besides "athlete" level wanted to use the driver... so the 460 is not quite as deep and a little more forgiving.

November 12, 200717 yr i would like to add another question-the lie angle is custom on both models. does anyone know the lowest lie angle you can get on these? Jared, On the 460 it's 57.5* and on the 425 it's a very flat 56.5*.
November 12, 200717 yr Author Thanks guys; very helpful info. I'm still one the fence....so confused! I really want to bag this driver but I have soooo many clubs I should sell first. Darn nice one's at that. I think it's time for Big ben's winter sell off. Keep your eye's open because this sale should be epic! Edited November 12, 200717 yr by BigBen
