Pretty much a thumbs up from the pros... as was the previous Japan only V-Steel the number one strength is feel, amazing feel and very workable.

Thank you. To me, it looks slightly bigger (face to back) and maybe a slightly shallower face. Any idea of what type of shafts might be offered? And what is a price range, please?

Yes a little more MOI I think in this one with CG further back. Shallower face as well.

The previous v-steel which was the second generation was sold with a steel NS Pro FW shaft as stock for around $300 and with M.A.S.2 55 PLUS graphite shafts for around 350 (those are suggested retail prices)

My guess is that they will be offered with some sort of REAX FW shaft and will be in a similar price range. We won't know for sure until TM tells us as they set all retail pricing.

More info from TM Japan:

They are available in 13 15 18 and 21 lofts. All have square faces. Compact heads of 152 155 135 135 cc's. Available with two brand new shafts from TM the REAX V FW Tour and REAX V FW Plus. The Tour is a mid to high kick, low torque shaft and the Plus is a mid kick higher torque shaft. Also available with NS Pro 950FW steel.

Retail prices as set by TM Japan are:

409.50 Tour

378.00 Plus

345.00 950FW

Mid January 2008 Release.

It'll be in the pro shop for pre order this afternoon.

What type of golfer are the V Steel geared for?

They've touted it as a balance between workability and forgiveness and playable by golfers 15 cap and below. The previous Japan version was applauded for it's superior feel over the original US model V Steel... this is supposed to feel as good if not better.
