Spoon
after seeing a nice looking putter my friend from japan was using months ago i decided to order one, this one just got back from the engraving shop and engraved name of my dad on sole. this will be a gift to the old man along with some wedges. this one is handmilled from special su303 steel from japan. those who have it swear by the steel. waited almost three months to get it as there is a huge waiting line in japan. feels quite different from the other ss303 putters i own. i will try to get more info about the maker and his process. my dad will certainley get a kick from it. i know i did. added a ust frequency filtered shaft. from putting on the carpet it certainly feels very different. cant quite explain but it certainly feels more crisp and you feel when youve mis**t a shot. the combo with the head is certainly unique and il leave the job of making a unbiased review to my dad. Spoon
just got back from a game, i borrowed it for 9 holes and the feel is unbeleiveable. almost feels like there is a sound slot in the putter even if there is none. may be due to the frequency filtered shaft. this is the first time ive tried this shaft and the responsiveness and feel is undescribable. in short i like it very much. il be the first one to say that i was skeptical at first bec putter doesnt look special at all or unique, frankly it looks like my old teardrop but once you roll that ball thats when the magic starts. this is my first foray into the world of custom putters. as to who the maker or what his options are i do not know. all i know is that the guy has been making putters by hand for over 5o years and churns out about a handful every year. il try to get more info. Spoon
Are you going to tell your Dad you already broke it in for him?? Looks great!!! It must be sweet because I know you don't really like blade putters!! LOL!!! actually my dad gave me permission to borrow it for 9 holes yesterday although i had the decency to give him the first few inaguaral putts in our home carpet:) Actually you are right i didnt like blade putters but ever since my C&L and a few other custom putters that has changed. i actually dont own a neo-mallet anymore. my gamers are all custom blades and loving it. only thing that eludes me is a golds
