PRGR introduces it's all new TR500 Driver for 2008. Made for the faster swinger and athlete golfer, the TR500 is a 455cc head with increased MOI over the T3 501 (4100 vs 3900). PRGR has used a 14g Zirconium plate on the bottom of the sole to stabilize face impact and energy transfer. To balance this out for optimal trajectory, the have placed the CG lower but not as deep as previous drivers creating a more ballistic like piercing trajectory. The sole surface welding combined with the carbon fiber composite resin crown, create a lightweight and stable head.

The new Inspec shaft is a collaboration with Mitsubishi Rayon and Fujikura. Mid launching and for the quick turn.

March 15th release.

Hi T,

Thank you for the info! Are there any shots of the crown floating around? I'm not normally a big fan of composite crowns, but Daiwa's GIII and PRGR seem to do a better job with the sound and feel than most other manufacturers, imho.

As to the collaboration between Mitsubishi and Fujikura, I don't recall two major shaft companies collaborating together before, so I'd be interested to hear more about the arrangement they made and the results as well!
