mizdean16
I'm looking for a 51* wedge that will be used for full swings (56 degree is my utility wedge) and I like the look of the YRG wedge but I see that it comes in lofts of 49 or 53. Is bending two degrees alright for these wedges? I know some clubs are alright being bent 1-2 degrees but I'm new to the world of JDM and no nothing about these. I'm looking at either the YRG or the new Epon 208KGX. I like the YRG because of the sharp leading edge but the Epon is just so pretty that it is hard to say no to. idrive
It's not a problem bending the wedge either way. What will change is the bounce. The 49* bent to 51* will end up with 9* of bounce. The 53* bent to 51* will end up with 6* of bounce. Off of tight fairways the 6* bounce would probably be better. Softer fairways, rough, firm bunkers, the 9* bounce should work better. Of course another consideration is your swing.. are you a sweeper or more of a digger??
