jedioliver
Hi... I have checked Geotech's website and I must say I was really surprised by the amount of Face Progression on each of their sets or wedges. The Face Progression number sometimes goes up to 10.0 on their wedge. I think they are talking in millimeters. But could this Face Progression be similar to Offset? A 10mm offset on a wedge is really high. They must have some particular way to measure this. Do you know how? Thanks. Jedi...
gocchin
A lot of people confuse Japan manufacturers' use of Face Progression with actual offset. FP is actually used to calculate offset. The higher the FP number the less offset there is. Please follow this link for a very detailed explanation of FP and Offset (check out tables 1 and 2). It's a difficult measurement that's not consistent across all irons due to different hosel diameters. http://clubs.hirekogolf.com/hireko/graphic...nsetbasics.html
