Golfer4588
Hi guys, I am new to the world of Tour spec golf equipment. I recently purchased a Taylor made Driver which had been set up for a Tour player. I play off +1 and hit the ball quite hard so I was used to the very stiff shaft and low loft. I could not believe the difference compared to the off the shelf equivalent I had been using, the ball now comes off the face and feel like I knew it was supposed to. I am in the market for a new set of irons but after my experience with my new Driver I want to make sure I have the best irons for me and not simply buy off the rack as I normally do. The problem I have is that because I am based in the UK there are no facilities to demo Tour spec clubs. Nowhere stocks extra stiff shafts let alone a variety of top end to compare and defiantly nowhere to hit my choice of golf ball of decent turf. I was hoping that someone out there may be able to advise me on what the benefits of the more expensive top end shafts compared to the off the shelf shafts such as Dynamic Gold X100. Golf is a big part of my life and I work very hard. I feel I owe it to my self to play with the best equipment money can buy. Without the opportunity to try out all the various shaft head combos I am finding it impossible to decide which heads and shafts to go for with my new set. If anyone can help me I would be very great full. Many thanks Richard Edited July 2, 2008 by Golfer4588
