froggy10
What are some of the easiest JDM blades to hit? These can be new or older models, but JDM only... and let's keep this to just blades (e.g. no Epon Type Js or Miura CB-1006 that are blade like but really more of a CB). Feel free to explain why you feel they're the easiest to hit. Explain any nuances about them as well (e.g. easier to hit off the toe for example, this shaft works better with this blade, etc.). I haven't tried too many myself over the years, but I did enjoy a set of MP-33's for a few weeks. Surprisingly easy to get the ball up. I also had a 7i KZG blade (not the ZO) for a while and found that rather easy to play as well. The feel in both was excellent.
gocchin
MB-5003's from Miura are not only so easy to hit but so very pure. We've had many customers pick these up including players with handicaps as high as 15-17 and proclaim these as their dream irons. Easy to hit and get the ball up and wonderful feel. As I've mentioned before bloggers in Japan still cannot stop raving about them. Chris (Tourspecgolfer) loves his and still has them after a whole season which is rare for him as he has access to pretty much every iron from Japan. They seem to pair best with a smooth steel shaft like NS Pro or with graphite.

gus
Traditional Golf for sure; they have a bit of offset and the feel is simply top of the line. I have idea if Mark is still in business or not (I'm sure he is; great guy, super classy) but his irons where 100% Japanese and 100% fantastic. I have a set I would sell if anyone was interested; drop dead good looking irons. Actually; if anyone is interested send me a PM for pics and specs....BB

Miura stopped the practice a couple of years back.... as they set out to build their own brand for retail in NA
froggy10
ajaykkr, I enjoyed your iron shootout a while back. Even back then I think you voted for the Miura MB-5003s. Would you say those 5003s were the easiest blades you've hit? I think you said the TB-1000s were the softest, but the 5003s did more of what you wanted in a blade. Just curious. Just curious. haven't played the mb 5003s. played mb 5002, CB 1006, miura tournament blade. miura tournament blade is in the bag as are nike tour issue blades (forged by miura).... what i look from blades is accuracy. the shot doing exactly what i want it to do with limited dispersion. i dont look forgiveness..... i will rate the mp 33s as the easiest to hit. not much difference between the others.....in terms of easier to play. gth1017
Although they likely don't count as JDM product, the Scratch SB-1 blades (forged in Japan) are by far the best looking, easiest to hit that I've ever had the pleasure to play. Incredibly well matched with the KB Tour shafts.
