NewTokyo
Looking for a new shaft for my pair of hybrids. Anyone have experience with the KBTour steel hybrids? The UT-85 is another popular option I am looking at... Haven't been back here in a while. are there other good options worth considering? Blader-X
Graphite Design UT series has been around for awhile but in my estimation, still the best out there. A very popular and widely used shaft here is the MachLine by NGS which is used by Epon. Lastly, in steel, the 950 Utility shaft by Nippon Steel is very good as well. Good luck. gocchin
I'll also suggest the GD Tour AD, lots of weight options and a very stable shaft with a nice mid trajectory (especially the heavier weights). It has been around for a while but for good reason. It's long been one of the best.
NewTokyo
Thanks for the advice. I can't believe I forgot about machline. I have them in my FW and I love it. I might have to take a look at the GD option as well.
Duffer19
For what it is worth, I recently hit a friend's Geotech hybrid (19.5 and 23) both with Machline hybrid in R flex. While I would prefer a S/R, the combo is so easy to hit and great projectory. I would be ordering the hybrid shaft myself soon. I am already playing the 7061 proto in the driver and fw65. dorkman53
This may be considered arch-heresy on this Japanese equipment board, but I've tried a lot of hybrid shafts from many manufacturers, and I've been most satisfied with the True Temper Black Gold iron shafts in the appropriate flex. They make them in .355" taper and .370" parallel. I have found that it took my trajectory a bit lower than most graphite shafts, but increased my accuracy.
