Posted November 28, 200816 yr comment_153181 Zodia fans, just in case you haven't heard yet, 2 new wedge series to be released in early 2009: http://www.golfobserver.com/blog/blognews/...1/26/chibawedge
November 28, 200816 yr comment_153182 Welcome to the forum? Hopefully they are an improvement over the last few generations... Zodia has truly lost its luster in previous years with some unpopular models. They're not only unknown outside of Japan but were becoming that way in Japan as well.

I can still find some Zodia wedges in the sale bin in Hong Kong. The Chiba line was a bid of sale dud I think. They should bring back the raw ones from years ago when I first saw them in Japan.

Definitely, I've also seen them in the sale bins in Japan and not going anwhere even with steep discounts especially the island grind series and there is not much talk about Zodia these days. Those US Specs were their best wedges in my opinion.
November 29, 200816 yr comment_153186 I had a US Spec Zodia and no matter how much I wanted to love it, it would not love me back. Never had a wedge that dug into the turf more. The thing was almost unhittable from every lie.

I'm a digger and the US Specs also dug like mad for me... while they felt good and spun well (yes they destroyed balls), I didn't find them friendly to my swing.
