Posted January 21, 200916 yr What do you think would be the best choice out of these four shafts. 120+ MPH swing speed, looking for lowest spin and low trajectory...... obviously as well, stability. Thanks.
January 23, 200916 yr Saw 3 guys at the long drive championships using GD MD7 shafts. 129 ss for a good 340+ I've personally used the MD7 shaft and its smooth and strong.
January 23, 200916 yr The P9003 can definitely handle the faster swing speeds but is not considered a low launching shaft. The MD series will launch lower but is not the lowest spin shaft. Both are very stable and popular choices for top pros in Japan. Another option is the whiteboard in D83 X flex. You're going to want heavy and stiff to go low. Ozik's F7M2 LTD is also very low launching and low spin. If you can handle an 80g+ driver shaft the 8M2 is Oziks lowest launching lowest spin shaft spec wise but I don't know about the feel as torque is at 2.5. I can't comment on Fubuki as there is NO hype at all on this shaft in Japan. It isn't even offered here as an aftermarket shaft (at least not yet but Japan usually gets things first especially if they are good (^_^).
January 23, 200916 yr Author Wow, thanks. Amazing what a little prodding does! Anyone know if the two GD shafts are 335. or 350. ? Thanks.
January 23, 200916 yr Pretty much 90% of all high end shafts epspecially JDM ones are 0.335". All Tour AD are 0.335.
January 23, 200916 yr Hey Mjr. D, Glad to see you back in the forums. So, looking for new clubs again, huh? In response to your post my suggestion is the GD P9003X. Best shaft on the planet in IMO. Been playing it now for several months and I can tell you that this shaft will handle anything you can throw at it. From my experience it is a low-mid launching shaft with tremendous feel and spot on accuracy. Tightest dispersion of any shaft I've experienced to date. I haven't hit the MD line but I do know that line is a mix of the old stand-by P series combined with the Quattro Tech series. I have experienced the QT line but found the P9003 much more to my liking. Let us know what you choose and how it goes. B

B Hahah, ah, more of a just a spring cleanup than a whole new set of clubs type thing. Thanks for the info on the P9003. I'm going with it. It'll be interesting to see how it compares to the Matrix F7M2. Do you happen to know what the tip dia is? 350 or 335? Thanks!
January 24, 200916 yr GD P9003X = .335 And I would agree on that being the shaft that should serve you best.
