Has anyone had any experience with this shaft as of yet? Hey T, might you know from your sources how this shaft would compare to the P9003x?
April 23, 200915 yr comment_155375 I'd also like to know how they would compare to the EV-7 in a FW. Would like a little higher launch in my FW's than the EV-7 is giving me. Great dispersion though from the EV. And what color are they? Looks like B & W photos in the proshop. Not that color matters... Edited April 23, 200915 yr by Bman
April 23, 200915 yr comment_155377 B and B, they are in fact a silvery gray like this: As for performance, they are specifically designed for FW's so not exactly like the EV nor exactly like the 9003's. I would say a combination of both depending on the weight. The heavier weights have really low torque with a big big focus on control and accuracy, while the lighter weights focus on stable performance. They most likely launch higher than the EV series because the SF is made for an FW, it creates a balanced amount of spin for launch and a relatively soft landing. The spin will bring the trajectory higher. So spin aside, control and feel wise the lighter weights probably more resemble the EV series while the heavier weights resemble the 9003 line. Keep in mind also that these shafts are really meant for shorter Fairway woods (raw length 42" uncut). The thinking is that with 3 woods pretty much at around 43", a driver shaft can be installed and still maintain much of its performance characteristics, however when you install the longer shaft in say a 42" or shorter club, it has an affect on it's flex point and balance. So GD touts these shafts as stable big strong carry without ballooning.

April 26, 200915 yr comment_155427 Bman, very interested to hear how it goes as well. This shafts got my interest. I'm thinking of maybe replacing the UT95 with the SF9 in my utility and possibly even trying out the SF8 in the 3 wood which would supplant my favorite P9003x. While there is no better shaft IMO for my driver than the P9003x, I would definitely like to see how this new line does in the FW since its specifically made for them.
