jnims29
When are these irons going to be in the proshop?
gocchin
I have a demo arriving today, after I take pics they will be in the shop. Look to be an amazing iron. All the PRGR pros on tour are already playing them.
jnims29
That is awesome! I am really like the new PRGR 502 series tour driver and forged irons. Maybe a staff bag too?
bogeydog
That is awesome! I am really like the new PRGR 502 series tour driver and forged irons. Maybe a staff bag too? I already ordered the Tour driver with Fuji Motore Speeder!
gocchin
I'm borrowing your post here to post about the new GN502 Forged since you already started a thread. (^_^) Here's the new GN502 Forged from PRGR. PRGR took the forgiving design of the GN502 Iron and decided to make a forged version, more compact, less offset and thinner top line and sole. But because it uses several aspects of the original GN502 the forgiveness is still there. They carried over the leading edge and trailing edge for what is a very very forgiving sole and still brought over the very subtle pocket cavity (there is no click with this cavity but it does its job increasing the sweet spot). Very nice looking iron, makes my GN502 Silver iron look a lot larger suddenly. Aimed at the better golfer wanting feel and control with a touch of forgiveness. The pocket cavity is precision milled for perfect weight distributiob and the irons feature a standard CG across all irons, in other words as the lofts get stronger the CG distance from the ground is the same meaning the shorter irons have a higher CG resulting in a more stabled controlled shot. The body is forged from very soft S20C and the face uses a new type of asroll nickel chrome Molybdenum steel. While the back of the iron is finished high gloss mirror finish the the rest of the body is in a soft white chrome for anti glare. These will be in the shop a little later today! I still have to take black background and ball pics but those will be tonight after the sun goes down!
K2_2
T - great looking photos of a beautiful club. As always, I am really impressed by the details that go into the sole on PRGR's irons. Their player's irons over the last two years have had some fantastic grinds that work well from all over the course.

Their player's irons over the last two years have had some fantastic grinds that work well from all over the course. Very forgiving grind definitely. These irons are very much like the AF-701 as in they can target a broad level of players but have even less offset and a thinner topline and sole. jnims29
I am glad they are not "clicky feeling."I had some reservations about and undercut cavity, however these really look good to me!
