Then you should try the Japan Ping J spec Rapture V2 irons.

I now have about 10 rounds with these irons ( 4 - PW) that are shafted with ZZ 65 shafts and I have hit more greens in regulation than any other set I have owned (and I have owned a lot) and of course that has lead to better scores.

Some quick random thoughts:

- I am a picker of the ball and don't have a problem with the sole

- I just finished playing 5 rounds in Phoenix, where the soil is pretty hard (118 degrees during the day will do that to the ground), and didn't have a problem with these irons.

- Love the less offset these have over the standard Rapture V2 irons

- Although not a lot, you can still work the ball some with these irons.

- Forgiveness is amazing. I have so much confidence now with a 4 iron in my hand shooting to a green 200 yards away.

- If you have read some of my other posts, you will know I am a stickler on feel and don't like a click feel/sound. These don't have a great forged feel, but they really don't have click sound when hitting the ball. Sort of muted, but definitely something I can live with.

- Only downside is the my HOing days for irons is over for quite a while.

Aloha
