djjeffree
Hi, Im new to this forum, and im hoping to get some good advice regarding the grips mentioned above. I would like to know how many wraps of tape will be required to install this grip. I understand that Opus 2 Grips are 1.8mm in thickness compared to the Opus 1 which is 2.3mm. My hand measures 7" (wrist to tip) and 3" middle finger. I normally wear a mens small glove and would be an "Aqua" using the Ping sizing chart. All my clubs have a standard .60 butt diameter. Can anyone recommend how many wraps of tape I will need to get the desired grip size? I will have to pass this information onto my local club fitter. Also, please confirm if I should use a water based, white solvent or hairspray to install these grips. Thanks in advance. Jeffrey
gocchin
If you are using Ping Aqua grips which are 1/64" smaller than standard, the Opus 2 with 1.8mm wall should be very close to equivalent. One wrap should do the trick. Use water based or solvent depending on the grip tape your club fitter uses.

Since most of them are white or light color base, it gets dirty very quickly. As for tackiness and comfort, it is actually not as good as the Nowon Expert. gocchin
The Iomics, especially the Opus 2 and sticky light are a touch harder than the Nowons because of their thinner walls. I've mostly stuck with the stickys as they are most like Nowon. Though I am about to regrip with that Masda grip.

Can you tell me how much thickness in mm will 1 wrap of tape add to the overall thickness of the grip? Are the Opus 2's not as soft as the stickys? Do they feel harder because they are thinner? I am considering getting an absolute putter grip as well. How does this compare to the regular midsize putter grip? Thanks for your advice. I dont have a local shop where I can have a look at them first. Jeffrey.
