Posted March 13, 201014 yr Hi All, I am in the market for a new driver and should be getting on a trackman in a couple of weeks to get some number to help me decide on my new driver. I am interested in the Epon AF 102, Kamui Works 420 and the crazy FX 435 drivers for their customisation ability. Any one have tried and gaming theses drivers?. Chris, T, I will pm you shortly to talk fitting when I have some numbers to show. Thanks guys. F
March 13, 201014 yr I haven't hit the Crazy, as has been stated I think the shaft is a big part of what makes that driver as good as it is. I've hit the Epon once. Very solid dull, muted sound and feel. I didn't think I hit it that well but it was the longest drive of the group. The Kamui 420 is in the bag. I'm not looking for anything to replace it.
March 13, 201014 yr I don't have any of them. :p But, if I could get one, I'd get the Kamui. Customizing is a beautiful thing. :)
March 13, 201014 yr idrive, just wondering if you have played with the kamui fairway enough to write a bit of a review? or even send me a pm with some thoughts? vineman I haven't hit the Crazy, as has been stated I think the shaft is a big part of what makes that driver as good as it is.I've hit the Epon once. March 13, 201014 yr Frogeye, Can't do a comparison but spent a long time researching a new driver and bought a Kamui (456) due to all of teh customisation that you can do with them. I have it being tuned at the moment and can't wait for it to go in the bag. My only suggestion is that trackman is good but also hit a driver of similar specs out in the real world before you order your customised driver. Remember to check the real loft etc of the demo club! I've jumped the gun on that one. I'm hoping to have it in play by the 17th but it doesn't look like the Crazy shaft is going to be here in time. I still have the egg spoon itb. I can't wait to hit the kamui fw head/crazy fw shaft combo.
March 13, 201014 yr Author Idrive, Vineman, Thank you your comments. I totally agree with you the shaft is crucial and trying the club first hand is a must. I am afraid that being in the UK I will not be able to get my hands on these drivers so I will have to go with what I know works well for me and do some testing. The trackman data is more of a confirmation than anything else. I have had a number of Tour and retail drivers but have found that I have always gone back to my TM 510 DF Tour. It is reliable and allows to work the ball as I like. The only thing that has evolved that head was the shaft. For me I can't fault the 510DF with an altus LT combo. I am considering the Kamui fw. I wonder if it performs as well as the driver. F

It's one of the best shafts that I've played and still playing.
