Spoon
i know a lot of tsger's have tried the 456 by now and are all praises, but iam not aware of anyone gaming the woods. has anyone tried em? looks very interesting and quite reasonable compared to the eggs considering all the tweaks and custom options. im in no rush to change but i am always looking for "the one" thanks in advance. EPONfreak
I think idrive had one arriving today, no doubt he's dashed to the driving range to give it a wack, I look forward to his thoughts

idrive
Goodsie is installing the shaft now, will have it in the middle of the week. The lie of this FW is going to be 2* flatter than the egg, which is the ONLY thing going against it. I've been hitting the heck out of it (egg). idrive
couldnt you get the Kamui to the exact lie angle? The Kamui is the one with the right lie angle, 2* flatter than the egg. I hit the egg spoon on a really tight, extreme downhill today trying to just be straight. I was as far or even farther than I'd ever been before hitting driver. I can no longer use it as a layup club instead of driver. Edited March 30, 2010 by idrive

idrive
As you know the shaft is a big factor. I'm getting along very well with this Egg combo. The PRGR stock shaft didn't do it for me. It made me feel like I was over powering the club. The shaft in this club is all about distance. Probably a little lower trajectory than most people would like. I hate to admit that an overriding factor in my love for this club is the forgiveness. I need a shaft that hits it higher, shorter and with at least the same dispersion. How often are you looking for that? The Kamui is as custom as can be with a Crazy FW80 shaft and it still has its work cut out, big time. A couple of months ago, I was having a real bad day with the driver so I switched to the Spoon as well and my playing partners swore I hit it longer than my driver as I was still matching them in distance but was far more accurate with the Egg Spoon. I can change all my clubs in my bag for this year... in fact I did... but not the Spoon.

In terms of flight, what do you notice between QT and QT MD? I ask because if I get an EGG 15* I had in mind the standard QT.

I ask because if I get an EGG 15* I had in mind the standard QT. i had the qt and qt md on identical gfield 4w heads. in my experience i found the qt to be higher launching than the qt md. for me, i found the qt(green) better suited for fairway woods than the md. The green is higher launching and a much better FW club than the MD On the spoon, if you want a little higher launching, softer landing, the green is the better shaft IMO. I have a 3 wood QT shaft here I'm thinking about putting in instead on the MD. I'm kind of curious if I would lose any distance because of the higher launch...
