i am not a fan of extenders but you can add one to get your desired length 1" in steel is allowable, any more and id say toss the shafts. only thing that will be affected is sw

Hi I am also 6'4" and have used shaft extenders before at 1" and have not had problems with it. As spoon said the swing weight will go up a fair bit from standard length approx D2 up to 1" over approx D5/6 which I actually felt helped me as I like to feel the weight of the head in my swing. Having said all that if you can afford it the best option is new shafts or parhaps pulling the shafts and re inserting them say 8 iron to PW and so on and getting 2 new shafts for your longer irons? If you were to do this it would change the feel and you would need a very good fitter / clubmaker to do the work.
