I picked up a set of 1150's from One9reasons and I can't wait to try them out. My questions is I am 6'1 so I play +1/2 so can I softstep nippon shafts like all the other brands or are they sensitive to this?

thanks,

Kent

hardly sensitive, you can softstep them like other brands but keep in mind that they will play a tad softer.

what are your current shafts? most people will either soft/hardstep to get the desired flex and not the desired

length.

Spoon, you may remember I am in transistion to find the right shaft for my game. So far with my swing this is what I have hit.

TT s400 tour issue s : Great dispersion and flight nice and low. Weight could become issue if playing more than 18 holes. (two shoulder surguries and bad knees as I gave to many hits playing football)

Steelfiber Aerotech 110 s: Nice feeling shaft but hit it to high.

Nippon 950 sr: Way to light for my swing.

KBS tour S softstepped: Only played once but the one thing that stood out was the amount of spin created with this shaft. Everything I hit was stopping dead or backing up.

TT Black golf r: have not installed yet

Nippon 1150 s: waiting to arrive.

I am what I think of as a smooth swinger. I do not take big divots but I have a very late release putting lots of bend in the shafts. My size is 6'1 and weight around 210 and my swing because of my build is more of a stack and tilt type swing. My swing speed averages around 83mph but that is probably 80% percent of what I can do. I have always played stiff shafts but I was thinking of going softer for more control. My current irons are Vega VC-01 and Yamaha inpress 2010 tour issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

well in that case you should be ok. you mentioned that the 950sr was way too light. so the 1150s softepped will play heavier and stiffer. the ns1150s will

be lighter than your kbs tour, and tt black gold. i personally think the nspro feels the best among your given choices but that is just me. Also do note that

from what ive read you really like the feel of the 950s except for the weight. i think the jump to the heavier, beefier ns1150s will be a welcome change.

let us know how it goes. good luck!
