irishputter
New to Japanese golf clubs and to this great web site, so please be kind to my lack of knowledge. I've read great things about both of these clubs on this site, but am curious as to which one is preferred.

irishputter
what are you looking for a wood or hybrid? also what loft? from the other forum you were inquiring about something in the 17-19range? Hi Spoon, Looking for a low profile faced fairway wood OR hybrid 17-19 range that has a square face (not open) to go in between my 15* wood (210 yarder) and 21* hybrid (180 yarder). I'm not looking to work the ball, just hit it straight with tight disbursement. My goal is to find a club that hits in the 195 yard range. I agree with you Spoon.....I LOVE the Egg spoon and would bag it in a heartbeat. But it is a bit above what I had budgeted for.........(going to have to sell some extra clubs I guess. I wish it was sold head only somewhere. but, I've also heard great comments about both the ROYAL COLLECTION 2011 NEW TRC UTILITY and the YAMAHA 2011 INPRES X D UT UTILITY, which are in my budget. I am leaning towards the RC 19*. Are the RC and Yamaha both square faced at address?

stalemate
You got great taste in clubs. I'm debating to bag both. like a 3 or 4 wood spoon and a the new TRC utility to fill the gap between the irons. I know the PRGR Spoon is something special and so are the utilities by RC. irishputter
You got great taste in clubs. I fill my bag with clubs that fit my game from knowledgeable golfers like you and Spoon and Gocchin and others on sites like this one. I just added to my bag the Royal Collection JP104FH - 18* (same club as the TRC UT, only USA version). The nice thing about this club it's like a Wood/hybrid combo. The hosel is 0.335* so you can put in a wood shaft, not just a hybrid shaft. I'm going to pull the shaft and install an Oban Devotion. That combo head and shaft should be a cannon. I'll give review once I get it one the course. Edited May 4, 2011 by irishputter
