Equipment Junkie
I'm interested in the Miura Giken MB-5003 blades! Now playing Titleist MB695s with Project X 6.0, D2 swing weight. The MB-5003s are available with 2 head weights, one for steel shafts and one for graphite shafts. Can someone please explain to me why the head for steel shaft is LIGHTER than then head for graphite shafts! Wouldn't you need a heavier head with a steel shaft to achieve the same swing weight as a graphite shaft? CONFUSED!!!!
ant
because the balance point of equal length graphite shaft will be higher so you gonna have a problem building up swing weight comparable to what you are used to and comfortable with steel so heaving heavier head helps to offset that and build to desired swing weight easier. gocchin
Anton is correct. Heads for graphite shafts are always heavier to make up for lost swing weight due to lighter shafts.
