I usually ask this question in different forms every year and its about time to ask it again. I recently got my fellow playing partners, who have always had no interest in talking about JDM gear (usually look at mine and always ask "is this stuff legal?") to play the Titliest VG3 ball and all of them were getting a few extra yards playing it (yes, the ball does go further). Now that I have my partners attention, they ask me why manufacturers do not distibute or sell JDM gear in the US. My response is the pricing points are too high for the American market. However, my question is how do these companies (ie Bridgestone, Callaway, Titliest) decide the pricing points are too high? Why do people buy a Mercedes or BMW when they can buy a Chrysler? Why do people go to Morton's when they can go to Outback? I would think the same concept would apply to golf clubs. What am I missing? :tsg_smiley_punkrock:
