June 27, 201113 yr Paint fill is white, only the Epon logo is goldish, not metallic. Ferrules are the usual black graphite, which I preferred over the new 'bling' glitzy type. I heard there were gold ones but these are more understated. ;) Loft was adjusted, not much, but was told that the shafts needed a bit of 'running in', need to hit them over avfew more rounds to have the 'kick' working. Not sure how true that is, I'll just play some more and see how it works out. No no, they are to be treated like any other clubs. End of the day, they're made to fulfill one purpose and one purpose only, that is to hit golf balls. The moment you start to baby them, their existence will become meaningless. No head covers, no special concessions, no exceptions. i specificallly requested the brown and gold carbon ferrules as used in the older 208 copper wedges. they were hard to find but look stunning. shafted with modus 3 and my favorite GP 2g in red. and these will be the first clubs i will use headcovers with.
June 28, 201113 yr Got my twins today and yes took them out for a spin this arvo Both with Crazy wedge shafts and the face milling extra Like Frank first impressions was they looked pretty ordinary like the kids had them in the sandpit for a while. They go good though. Bestway to describe them is they feel silky smooth. shafts feel great made me think of getting some high end graphite for my Miurisms.. Performance wise they were good cant say outstanding but conditions were pretty tough with at least a 2 club breeze playing havoc Are they worth the $1000 plus. will keep you posted on that And frank those Epons look the real deal mate

In fact, the wrappers are still on the grip! But good to know they perform. How badly do they shave them balls? The Crazy wedge shaft definitely makes a difference. I've fitted both my SDJ and Miura k-grind with the same Crazy wedge shafts and they make a difference. ;)
September 8, 201113 yr Have played my Crazy wedges with the Crazy Black 110 wedge shafts for a couple months now. Prior to these have played Chikara, Epon, Mizuno, and tour Vokeys. The Crazy and the Chikara have been my favorite wedges of all time with the Crazy the clear winner. Very versatile grind and I use the 58 deg for almost everything around the green. I don't know how much the graphite shaft has to do with it, but the ball comes off very soft. Great for touch shots around the green. Was coming up short on everything at first, but once I adjusted they made chipping and pitching so much easier. They don't shred balls like the Chikara did but provide plenty of spin. I ordered my 52 at D3 and 58 at D5 and they were spot on. Hope they produce these again in the future!
September 8, 201113 yr Um, coming from someone with a 'diarrhea' moniker? Heh. I know what you mean, I get mocked by the infidels I play with about Crazy all the time. You know what they say, a rose by any other name. Truth is, the shafts are very good. You will take them seriously when you've gamed it. :) Haha, i'm not selling that name, though. I have them in all my woods..... very very good shafts indeed.
