With next generation shaft that profess lower launch and spin, I am confused. Can anyone give practical info on these? Seems like the Modus 3 are hit and miss but may swing weight better because of the heavy tip. The lbs is getting good reviews. The Shimada Tour great feel and low spin. I also heard that these new lower launch and spin are all typically counter balanced to some degree. I don't like that beacause is messes up swing weight if I want a build 1/2" short.

Hey B, im in the same boat hence my previous post re KBS c Taper & NS SP Blue etc.

ive tried all with the xception of the kbs c tapers.

right now i have gained over 1.5 club distance with my hardstep modus 3 S.

they start low but soar and have a flat trajectory. nspro learned from the protos.

shimadas are good, probably second after nspro but i like the nspro the best bec

i got my desired traj. lower yet flattens out apex. the shimadas are similar but dont

feel as good.

i probably tried all the shafts, did a round about 3 x over. Nspro hands down.

Spoon,

What changed you mind about the M3? There was an earlier post where you didn't like them at all.

Hard stepping and putting them in the 302s.

They were straight up in my yonex and dint feel right

Softer than I would like , higher ball flight.

Hard stepping 1x and putting em in the 302s made a big diff.

The 1050s and the Nippon modus straight up were too HL for me

Thats an awesome result C. Must be a real good fit this time around with flex & head. Not to mention yummy looking set :)
