RIduffer
After a hard fought game Japan takes the title in PKs...
gocchin
I was up at 4am to watch here in Japan. USA played a dominant attacking game and had more chances. Japan never gave up and came back from being down on two occasions to win. It was a great tournament for Japan beating the hosts Germany, much larger Swedes and then world number 1 USA to win. This morning they arrived at Narita airport to a heros welcome. The win is very good for Japan's spirits.
Blader-X
I hate soccer most of the time except for the World Cup, then I'm an absolute fanatic. Something about playing for country brings out the best in soccer for me. Last year was great but I thought the play by the women this year topped the mens' of last year. I watched most every match this year and the play was phenomenal! I must say it was a house divided this past Sunday with myself going for the USA and my son, daughters, wife and sister-in-law all rooting for Japan. If USA had to lose I didn't mind it being to Japan. Just awesome!

I love the excitements of PKs but feel bad for the team that loses this way. Unfortunately, there is no draw in a World Cup :) Congrats to Japan, definitely a very timely boost to the people.
