wmclarenf1
Per a previous thread, I picked up some pre-loved Miura forged RAW wedges about 2-3 weeks back with "genuine" etched on the hosels of both and with "Tour Issue Miura Wedges" on stickers on the DG shafts. I doubt they are real tour issue and that was perhaps a ploy by the golf shop. That however is not the point of this thread. I have put the Miura 60* wedge in play which comes with a DGSL300 shaft. Just 2 days ago, I reshafted the Miura 52* which is a very light head to the exact same setup as my Epon TEchnity Copper 52% ie, same shaft, same flex, same length, same grip, same loft, same lie and very similar swing weight (maybe less than 1/2 SW point difference with the Miura being the lighter of the 2). This is possibly the best comparison for a head to head as that is the only difference. I hit both at the range yesterday and I can safely conclude the following: 1. The miura setup seems to fly slightly lower. 2. Miura setup drops and stops a lot better than the Epon. The Epon can hold greens well enough but the Miura seems more adapted for dead pin attacks. 3. Despite it being a short club and a 52, somehow the Miura seems more accurate. Again, Same lie, length et al. 4. Miura setup seems softer and more solid on pure hits than the Epon. While I am still gaming the Epon Pro-Is for my irons, I've moved to the Miuras for the 52 and 60. Epons are still great but FOR ME, the 2 used Miura's I picked up are just that tad better. Wish I could post pics but I'm just having trouble posting pics here and my photobucket account seems crazy. wmclarenf1
sure will do. looking for a 50 and 56 to match my copper 302s Your 60 is the older Technity copper and not the newer KGX copper range I presume. The older range is lower bounce which I tend to prefer.
jamnguy1
I had the chrome technity epon a while back. It was so shiny it could blind the players on another hole. They also were not as soft as the miura.

That looks real. It's the older Miura wedges marketed outside of Japan. Can't really say it's tour issue, but I've seen lots of these in non-tour players hands. I don't believe it came in a raw version, but it becomes raw with extended use.
