Saw a set of TW904s irons. They looked pretty good, especially at adress. They are forged in Japan according to the GTI blog, but it only says "mild steel". What does this mean? What kind of steel are these irons made of, 1020, 1025?

Mild steel is a term typically used for carbon steel... and in the case of the TW904 if I remember correctly S20C or 1020 as its also called.
