High modulus carbon shafts thread

I'm sure I'm not alone here... there have been so many new top quality high modulus carbon shafts released in the last year it's almost impossible to keep track and know the differences.

Most companies offer different flexes and weights and spin and launch characteristics for different types of players but for example, how do we know, without spending $10,000 on experimentation, the differences between all the companies' low spin, low launch shafts or high launch, low spin shafts, or whatever?

Ya, and I don't just mean specs, I want to know why we should go with one manufacturers shaft of the same general specs over another's. Does Mitsubishi make a better high modulus shaft than UST Mamiya, does Crazy do something the others don't, etc, etc...

At some point you just have to decide for yourself.

Unless you try everything you will never know. Unless you

Are stew!

Sure their could be a shaft better than the one I have but

Vie made a decision to stick with my current shaft becausenit works.

Il change it when I'm bored.. I don't have a wandering eye with

Shaftsthank God

I agree its a hard decision. I have gone through like a dozen of CRazy shafts till i am going crazy. Example i told myself I would never buy ATTAS 3 coz its made in Bangladesh but i got one cos the graphics are nice but they truly perform. XDB are great but you can feel its lack of quality but my friend is totally in love with it. (for the driver)Basileus, again its bought coz of its nice graphics. luckily they are not bad.

I guess unless you try you don't know what you really like in terms of feel. IMO just go with what you like and it will give you confidence maybe you can play better>.

I appreciate a good forging and well made accessories but somehow i never got into high modulus carbon graphite shafts, sure i have a few but i dont notice any difference in dispersion or length, im sure if i was a better golfer i might !!!! But im not, at the end of the day, my favorite shafts are 771TA, Ali Islei, and my new favorite Tour AD MD.....however the Crazy cb 46 at 7.7 might open my eyes....the 7.2 flex was nice but it didnt fit my swing ........

Major difference, the 7.7 CB46 is money, it feels so soft and swings effortlessly and kicks through the ball with authority, it feels like a SR to me !!!!! Love it.....I am officially a fan of high modulus carbon ! I cant imagine it getting any better. Tempted to stick this in my Ryoma !
